Halloween Dating Tips: Trick or Treat?
By Liza Cooper | October 26, 2009
Halloween is made for going out and the party scene will be jumping. So, ladies, pull out your best ideas to create a fabulous costume and keep these tips in mind so you will have a wonderful time.
The cool thing about Halloween is that for one night, you can step out of your everyday world into a fantasy world. This can be a lot of fun—and best done with a clear head and common sense.
Think of the rules you had as a kid to keep you safe when you went out for trick-or-treating. Then update them for the adult you now are and you’ve got the idea.
• About that fabulous costume… have fun and enjoy, but make sure you can move freely and see clearly out of your mask–particularly if stilettos and a tight skirt are part of the attire.
• Trick –or-treat in groups. As a kid your parents insisted that you don’t go out alone. You probably went out with Mom or Dad at first. Then later on, it was you and the sibs, or maybe some carefully chosen friends.
Same thing applies here. Safety in numbers with a group of your coolest buds in fabulous costumes and you get the idea. It’s not only cheaper to split cab fares or the gas but it’s fun!
• If you want to accept a drink from that cute vampire, take a stroll to the bar to watch the drink being prepared. You want to make sure that your drink doesn’t include any unwelcome Halloween surprises.
In fact, if you’ll have a better time (and feel better the next day) if you don’t overdo the drinking part or imbibe exotic and unfamiliar mixtures.
Lastly, if it doesn’t smell right or feel right, it isn’t right. Pay attention to your instincts, then act accordingly–especially if there is any possibility you will have any dealings with boy wonder after you leave the party.
